Imagine if you were born a master fighter, with built-in weaponry and preprogrammed resilience. As you grew older, you were automatically upgraded to match your technological maturity, an effortless transformation from one phase of your warrior status to the next. The wonderful convenience would only be matched by the assurance that you are—because you were born that way—one of the best, bravest, most creative fighters Crypta has ever created. And yet, you're not 'you'. Instead, you were built as the creation of another, and that creator is given accolades for your accomplishments, your creator is hailed the hero, your creator is you, and you are them. That's what makes Glyborg so unique. While it was created as one of many to fight in lockstep with one another to protect the giant city of Mewhary in case of attack, Glyborg was born with a glitch: it was conscious. It could think for himself. It had a mind independent of its brothers, sisters, and creator. And yet, its programming is like a human instinct, driving its decision-making to make Glyborg the de facto leader of the thousands of robots like it. And given Glyborg's supreme fame for its fighting ability and willingness to live as both protector and citizen, the identity of the original creator is lost to obscurity. Now, Glyborg fights to protect Mewhary from the Centrized – and as a result, serves to protect all of Crypta. And it's okay with that mission, both in spite of and because of its programming.
